The school year is beginning for many of us, and the energy around the first days of school are electric. Everyone is trying to prepare their kids and students for the start of a successful school year.
No matter if the kids in your life will learn from home this year, learn at a charter school, learn at a public school, or learn at a private school, I ask you for a favor.
If you do nothing else…
Sit down with your child or students and talk about respect, kindness, and what it means to be a good friend.
Teach your child or students that differences are what make us each unique and adds to our value.
Discuss with your child or students that it is perfectly fine to wear the same shoes everyday.
Share with your child or students that school is for learning and their brains are remarkable organs that love to grow.
Help your child or students to understand that effort makes them stronger, and everyone can achieve greatness.
Explain to your child or students that a used backpack carries the same dreams as a new one.
If you do nothing else… take a moment to encourage your child or students. Our team at ClassOrbit wishes you a successful new school year. May every lesson of this new school year enrich you!
